Department of Slovak Literature and Literary Science

The Department of Slovak Literature and Literary Science (DSLLS) continues the literary research carried out by other Slovak studies departments in Banská Bystrica over the last decades. The department staff focus mainly on the field of Slovak literature but also on the more general – theoretical and methodological – issues of literary science. They develop and broaden the traditional literary-historic interpretation of literature and enrich it with more recent stimuli coming from their own academic discipline as well as related humanities.
