Study

As of the 2014/2015 academic year, the ISCS will also offer a new study programme – Applied Ethnology. It will focus on providing students with a theoretical knowledge of material and non-material cultural relics, rural and urban lifestyle and the changes caused by global influences. Students will acquire abilities and skills useful in various sectors of society, in state, private and non-profit culture organizations for education and research, cultural heritage, community work, intercultural cooperation (including minorities and the disadvantaged), regional development, as well as urban and regional planning.

We also provide ethnology and sociology instruction in several other study programmes (History, Museology and European Cultural Studies) at all levels of university education.
