Reflection of Hungarian-Ottoman relations in sources from the 16th-17th century

Annotation of achieved result: The most important result of the project in a representative form is offering the publication: MALINIAK - NAGY: Turek na obzore : Z prameňov k uhorsko-osmanským vzťahom (2013), which analyzes the reception and reflection of the Ottoman threat on the example of historical sources. These are probes into the world of thought and everyday life of two representatives of very different social and political conditions. On the one side is the humanist Erasmus of Rotterdam representing idealistic voice of moral authority, which stirs a single procedure for the need of collective action of European states against Ottoman aggression. And at the same time he offers a view of contemporary reflection of Ottomans and of the Ottoman Empire in the intellectual circles of Europe. On the other side is the military captain Ján Kružič, which represents the daily military combat on the battlefield of Hungary-Ottoman Boundary, but also the tactical negotiations with the enemy outside of it.
