Palina Louangketh

We were all so pleased and honoured to listen to Dr. Palina Louangketh´s speech yesterday. It was 11th November 2021 when she brought us closer to how IMID (Idaho Museum of International Diaspora, Idaho, USA) preserves, fosters and supports cultural diversity in local context, but with international impact. The students and university teachers located at Matej Bel University (Facuty of Arts, Banská Bystrica, Slovakia) had a unique opportunity to join in the interactive talk with the founder and executive director of IMID who accepted our invitation within the Week of Science. We were all inspired by the activities undertaken so far by key personalities of IMID, their plans, visions, aims and dreams as well as the core values of the museum which are encapsulated in the word H-E-A-R-T where each letter carries a huge potential and energy. To sum up, we all felt so welcomed during the insightful talk delivered by Dr. Palina Louangketh. The TALK which was full of humanity, history and honor (H), empowerment, education, exploration, engagement (E), acceptance, awareness and accountability (A), responsibility and relationships (R) and especially charged with TOLERANCE and TRUTH (T). HUGE THANKS to all attendees from the MBU and to our SPECIAL GUEST, Dr. Palina Louangket !
