Assessment

RULES OF ASSESSMENT:

1. The final grade is based on a point-total of two written tests - TEST I (mid-semester, covering topics 1-6) and TEST II (end-of-semester, given during the examination period, covering topics 8-13) and bonus points for active participation in class activities.

2. As the TEST II is given during the examination period, students are required to register for it in the AIS (Academic Information System). Normally, there are at least three test dates to choose from.

3. In the academic year 2023-2024 the Second Attempt ( = resit exam, in Slovak 'opravný termín') consists of a written test taken during the examination period. The maximum number of points in the Resit Test is 70. The Resit assessment scale: A = 70 - 66, B = 65 - 61, C = 60 - 56, D = 55 - 51, E = 50 - 46, Fx = 45 - 0. Bonus points are factored in at a reduced value (i.e. one active participation = 2 points). Signing up in the AIS is also needed for the Resit Test (any of the test dates listed in the AIS may be used by a student to take their Resit Test).

4. Names and other personal information in the assessment tables below are deleted. You will find your assessment in the line marked with your personal ID number (Column A). Your teacher will give you your ID number at the end of your Oral Exam.
