The Department of Romance Studies at the Faculty of Arts, Matej Bel University, offers French language studies within the study field of Teacher Training and Education Sciences, through the study program French Language and Literature (in Combination). This program prepares future French language teachers for both primary and secondary schools, including eight-year grammar schools. Graduates of this program, thanks to their strong language proficiency and solid theoretical background, are well-equipped to meet the demanding requirements of a foreign language teaching career.
Within the study field of Philology, the department also offers the program French Language and Culture (in Combination), with a specialization in translation and interpreting. This program prepares students to become professional translators and interpreters.
